Overview

The Taxi House is situated in Eurong Second Valley and is close to the beach, resort, shop and hotel. This traditional beach house is fully self contained and fully screened, and sleeps up to 9 people.

The main bedroom has a queen size bed and an ensuite, the second main bedroom has a queen size bed, with the third bedroom having a single bunk bed and a single bed. There is also a single bed in a sleep-out at the front and back of the house. Pillows and blankets are supplied.

There is a bathroom with bath/shower and a separate toilet.

There is a TV (free to air) supplied.

In the kitchen there is a large electric fridge/freezer, gas stove/oven and gas hot water. Cutlery, crockery, pots and pans are supplied.

There is solar power, therefore
NO electric hairdryers, toasters, frypans or irons to be used due to the solar power.

Power points are available for medical apparatus and for charging of small batteries.

There is a gas BBQ, outdoor table and chairs in the front garden of the house.

Everything is supplied except you need to bring your own linen (linen can be hired at a minimal cost if required), toilet paper, dishwashing liquid, matches and garbage bags. Also it is advisable to bring a torch.

The owners live in the The Palms, caretakers accommodation at the back of the property and they will not be required to share any of the Taxi House facilities. We hope you have an enjoyable and relaxing holiday!

Need to Know

You will need a vehicle access permit to drive a 4wd on Fraser Island.
All vehicles brought onto Fraser Island must have a current vehicle service permit (VSP). The VSP booking number is to be written on a VSP tag and affixed to the windscreen of your vehicle.

Practice safe driving through the various sand tracks and do not exceed 80 km/h on the beach stretch.

You will only be able to drive 2WD vehicles around Kingfisher Bay Resort. All other parts of Fraser Island are only accessible with a 4WD vehicle.

Check your vehicle making sure it is in good working order and take spare parts eg. radiator hoses, spare wheels. Bring vehicle retrieving equipment in the case of your vehicle becoming stuck in the sand.
