Talinga is a split level cottage, and one of the first houses built on Fraser in the "60's".  It has arguably the best property location on the island, boasting absolute beachfront views of the ocean from every room.

Overview

Talinga offers absolute beachfront. This modest beach house is a unique place to relax and have a carefree holiday.
Sleeps 9 people.

Upstairs there is a dining room, lounge and kitchen area with gas stove/oven, gas hot water, big electric fridge/freezer. There is cutlery and crockery, pots and pans. There is solar power.
Off the lounge area is a double bedroom with a single bedroom off to the side with a divider between them. The bathroom/shower is separate to the toilet.
No washing machine but there are wash tubs outside.
Wood BBQ available.

Downstairs there is a big room with a double bed and 4 single beds with no doors for privacy.

You need to bring your own bed linen, towels and in winter your own blankets (there are only a few). Some pillows are available. You also need to bring toilet paper, dishwashing liquid, matches, garbage bags, food, drinks, and also a torch.

The Eurong Beach Resort, shop, hotel, bakery is close by so you can buy any items from there if you need to.

There is no 240 volt power to plug in any powered devices.

No TV or radio provided.

No electric hairdryers, toasters, fry pans or irons to be used due to the solar power.

Need to Know

You will need a vehicle access permit to drive a 4wd on Fraser Island.
All vehicles brought onto Fraser Island must have a current vehicle service permit (VSP). The VSP booking number is to be written on a VSP tag and affixed to the windscreen of your vehicle.

Practice safe driving through the various sand tracks and do not exceed 80 km/h on the beach stretch.

You will only be able to drive 2WD vehicles around Kingfisher Bay Resort. All other parts of Fraser Island are only accessible with a 4WD vehicle.

Check your vehicle making sure it is in good working order and take spare parts eg. radiator hoses, spare wheels. Bring vehicle retrieving equipment in the case of your vehicle becoming stuck in the sand.
