OverviewKurrawa House is centrally located at Happy Valley on the eastern ocean beach side of Fraser Island. It is conveniently located only 300 metres from the beach and just 50 metres from the shop, fuel outlet, bars, restaurant and other facilities of the Happy Valley Wilderness Resort. Kurrawa House is close to many of the natural attractions of this spectacular World Heritage listed and internationally acclaimed great sand island. Eli Creek, the coloured sands, the Maheno Shipwreck, Indian Head, Champagne Pools, Waddy Point, Lake Wabby, Lake McKenzie, Central Station, Wanggoolba Creek, rainforests, fishing and other attractions are all within reach by four wheel drive vehicle. Kurrawa is a high set three bedroom home with one double bed, one 'double decker' bunk bed and two singles. Facilities provided include kitchen utensils, gas stove, television, refrigerator and washing machine. You will need to provide your own linen. There is an outdoor deck and also a BBQ area set amongst 556 square metres of palms and lawn for the enjoyment and relaxation of guests. The house is fully cleaned and serviced upon the departure of guests

Need to KnowYou will need a vehicle access permit to drive a 4wd on Fraser Island. Practice safe driving through the various sand tracks and do not exceed 80 km/h on the beach stretch. You will only be able to drive 2WD vehicles around Kingfisher Bay Resort. All other parts of Fraser Island are only accessible with a 4WD vehicle. Check your vehicle making sure it is in good working order and take spare parts eg. radiator hoses, spare wheels. Bring vehicle retrieving equipment in the case of your vehicle becoming stuck in the sand. |
