Travel with Sunrover on a fully guided adventure to the world heritage listed area of Fraser Island National Park.
Sunrover small groups have been operating for over 18 years on the world's largest sand island.
The 2 Day Adventure is one of our most popular tours, as it covers the islands greatest highlight, Lake McKenzie, with a choice or both camping or resort accommodation.

  • Beach resort accommodation or National Park Beach camping (Dilli Village)

  • Ferry fees and camping equipment

  • There will be a $60 per person National Park fee & daily permit to be paid upon departure.

Please Note: The hike to Lake Wabby may be strenuous for some. There is walking up a steady incline and walking across sand dunes in the direct sun. Talk to your guide if you're concerned that you might not have the required fitness level for this walk.

Itinerary

Day 1:

Travel from Brisbane north past the Glasshouse mountains to Noosa River Ferry and Cooloola Coast Beach (tides permitting). Photo or hike to Double Island Lighthouse and Rainbow Beach coloured sands before Ferry Cruise to Fraser Island.

4WD Fraser Island 's 75 Mile eastern Surf Beach to Eli Creek, and the Maheno Shipwreck. This great afternoon on the beach highway has the bonus of a Lake Wabby Visit late in the afternoon. Its famous sand dune and Fraser Island's deepest Lake. Return through melaleuca and cycad forest. Relax at Fraser Island beach resort where both twin/double rooms are available, only 50 metre from the Fraser island surf beach. If you travel by yourself, there are surfside Hotel Units which are located poolside. These hotel rooms sleeps 4 persons (quad share) with private bathrooms and kitchen facilities inside each.
Options for families and groups to upgrade to a 2 bedroom apartments on request.

Afternoon Beach Walk at sunset, before evening meal at restaurant and bakery. Walk along 75 Mile Beach, stargaze, relax Fraser Island Style.

For those of you who are camping, time to return to the environmental eco camp of Dilli Village. This great location on the surf beach of Fraser Island, with grass campsites with hot showers and toilets.

Take time to explore the walks and hikes close to the camp area, with the world famous Fraser Island Great Hike - starting from the door step of Dilli Village.

Lake Boomanjin, Other trails travel to Govi Creek, Eastern Surf Beach and Southern Lake Hike.

Day 2:

Campers rise early and travel to see the sunrise over the Ocean and surf beach of Fraser Island, enjoy a walk or hike before breakfast.

Travel back to the resort for a quick stop, then onto Lake McKenzie or Lake Birrabeen. Spend the morning enjoying these unique lakes. Swim, hike and photograph the beaches, lakes and wildlife. In the cool of the rainforest take the boardwalk along the creek. See rare giant King Fern, world heritage satinay forest and crystal clear waters of Wanggoolba Creek meandering between Picabeen Palms and Central Station. A picnic lunch included and 4WD through forest either via Lake Boomanjin or Eurong Beach Resort, 75 Mile surf beach to Rainbow Beach, Noosa and Brisbane.(Itinerary subject to tides).
