Queensland's Sustainability Minister Andrew McNamara says he cannot understand why people are still feeding dingoes on Fraser Island, off the state's south-east coast, despite numerous attacks.

Mr McNamara says one resident has been training dingoes to sit before being fed, a litter of pups was being handled regularly and rubbish is not being properly secured.

He says there is no excuse for people who ignore the law prohibiting interaction with dingoes.

"There has been a long running education program, everyone who goes to the island is given material," he said.

"Regretfully, I continue to get reports of wilfully stupid behaviour which puts other people's health at risk."
